Our first veggie garden.....

When we put in our backyard we always envisioned a garden..... Well, we envision a lot of things in the backyard but it seems it never happens quick enough.
This year was the year! yahoo! I'm glad we did it and accomplished our goal. Just this week Nate put the veggie boxes on the side of the house outside and filled them with dirt. Yesterday, we were able to go and purchase our veggies and plant them in the garden. Such a new experience for both of us and so fun! I'm very impressed with the hubs skills. Made all the veggies boxes by hand, stained them and put a drip system in it so we don't have to manually water the plants.

We planted:

-cucumbers

-bell peppers

-watermelon

-summer squash

-kale

-chard

-strawberries

- sweet basil

-cilantro

-chamomile

-peppermint

-lavender

-tomatoes

-cauliflower

-jalapenos

-cayenne peppers

-beans

-peas

-Romain lettuce

-red and green cabbage

and bought a pomegranate bush

wish us luck that we can keep them ALL alive.
