The other day, Nate told me he wanted to get me something for the baby so he offered to paint the nursery. I was shocked to say the least and I must have been a good little wifey I guess. So his next day off my mission was to find the paint color.
I didn't realize how hard it would be because I knew just what I wanted.
Wow, did you know there are a million grays and in shades of green, blue, pink, and brown?
I sure didn't but had this great paint color in my head. So the day was spent getting samples and going back and forth to Home Depot because it was too dark or too blue. Finally part of me was just ready to give up but then I found a color that I liked and had them lighten it up a bit. Nate began painting and I was even more confident. Then he finished and it looked almost blue!! WHAT?! I really love it more and more BUT every couple of hours the paint color changes a bit from the sun. So if you are painting maybe you can learn a few things from my experience.
The funny part is I didn't do any painting but have no ambition to do the rest of the house (which we thought we should do soon.) I don't want to go through picking out shades again HA!
In other news...
Today marks 39 WEEKS!! crazy I thought I would have had her by now. I have been having little contractions and everyday they get a little bit more noticeable. My Dr. appt is tomorrow so hopeful progress has been made. I have been feeling crazy tired and starting to swell (prob from the heat). She has been moving so much and is obviously bigger. When she moves my belly looks crazy and sometimes it hurts when she kicks.
Last weekend Nate went mountain biking to Mammoth, CA. (4 hour drive) with the guys for a last ride before the babe and he was so worried I would go into labor. Part of me wanted to go into labor but part of me knew that I wouldn't considering I was not quite dilated to a one and went full term with the last two kids. He was calling and texting me every minute it was funny. While he was gone my sister in law threw me a surprise baby shower at the Yard House (one of my fav restaurants) It was so fun and everyone spoiled me with gifts (which was too kind since I have so much already.)
So grateful for her that she thinks of others all the time.

It looks great! I agree I think paint is so hard to pick out and when you get it on the wall it always looks different. You look great! I am excited for you to have your baby! Oh and Lila's room is so cute!!
Paint is the worst. We made multiple trips back and forth when picking a color for our house. I'm still not convinced of the color we ended up choosing, even a year later. So excited to meet that baby girl! We are coming down this weekend, hopefully she will decided to come before then so we can meet her!
